November 27, 2014 The 12th Grant Contest of the program “A Changing Museum in a Changing World” starts.
In the year of the 15th anniversary of activity The Potanin Charity Fund Announces about updating museum programs. The aim of this work is to support leaders who can make the museum a modern center of education and enlightenment, as well as an open public institution.
Oksana Oracheva, Executive Director of the Vladimir Potanin Charity Fund: “The Fund has been supporting positive changes in the museum field for fifteen years, so we can now talk about the serious results of the programs and evaluate our performance. Our competition is gaining new scale and development. Last year, we refused to quote the regions. The way of filing applications is changing - now they come to experts only online. In many ways, this simplifies participation in the contest and removes psychological filters. We also reviewed the nominations, which, we believe, will contribute to the development of new areas of activity relevant to today’s practice. ”
The contest “A Changing Museum in a Changing World” is aimed at supporting specialists focused on modern design solutions in the field of museum activities; creation of conditions for the exchange of experience and technology; strengthening ties within the professional community; development of cooperation and partnerships between museums and organizations from other areas of professional activity.
The total grant fund has been increased and amounts to 25 million rubles this year. The nominations of the competition have also been changed: a decision was made to stimulate the comprehensive project activities of museums, which will be facilitated by projects in four nominations: “Museum and the Local Community”, “Museum Design”, “Open Collection” and “Museum Start” .
Applications are accepted in electronic form from November 26, 2014 to February 28, 2015.
You can familiarize yourself with the terms of the competition, nominations, requirements, apply on the fund’s website.
