For the New Year holidays 2019-2020 at the Theater of the Russian Army, a children’s play “Fairy Tale in Broad Daylight”, directed by Andrei Badulin, based on the novel by Viktor Vitkovich and Grigory Yagdfeld, was prepared. Spectators will enjoy an exciting show, great music and scenery in 3D.
The action takes place in our time, in an ordinary school, where preparations for the celebration of the New Year are in full swing. On these happy days, when the children decorate the Christmas trees, and their parents prepare gifts for them, no one realizes that the holiday may not take place. The old year does not want to leave. He decided to stay forever, but for this he needs to stop time. To do this, the Old Year must stop the magic clock - the heart of the snowy girl Lely. He calls for the help of three treacherous snow women, known as the Black Soul, the Selling Soul and the Paper Soul. But it’s not so simple, because the third-grader Mitya comes to the aid of Lele, a brave and courageous boy.
“Dangerous chases in the night forest, fights on the banks of Lake Shchuchye, magical transformations, treacherous traps, funny songs and dances, and, of course, friendship, courage, wisdom and faith in each other, which win in the finale. All this awaits the audience in a real New Year thriller on the stage of the theater of the Russian Army, ”says director Andrei Badulin.
