On November 17, the Gallery of Siberian Art (Karl Marx Street, 23) opens an exhibition of the family of talented Irkutsk artists Ushakovs. The exposition includes about 40 paintings and drawings created by two generations of the same family. Each of the authors graduated from the Irkutsk Art College and presents his own creative style, circle of favorite motifs and their interpretation.

The works of Oleg Ushakov (member of the Union of Artists since 2010) are characterized by philosophy and symbolism; in his chamber works, which refer the viewer to the classical painting of the Dutch of the 17th century, there are realistic and metaphorical beginnings. The focus of his wife Yana Ushakova is the surrounding nature, its beauty and diversity. Chamber landscapes and still lifes are filled with love for everyday manifestations of being.

Children of artists also followed in the footsteps of their parents. Yuri Ushakov, who graduated in 2020 from the Academy of Arts. I. E. Repina, prefers the difficult genre of portraiture, conveying the character and mood of the models in a pasty expressive manner. The youngest of the authors of the exhibition - Ivan Ushakov is in his last year of painting faculty of the Academy of Arts. I. E. Repina, lives and works in St. Petersburg. He expresses his artistic vision of the surrounding people and situations both through painting and in graphic sketches.
