The exposition, which included 116 posters of 67 authors, includes works by Soviet, Russian and Serbian artists, reflecting the social and political life for almost 100 years. Here you can see the rarest socio-political posters of the times of the revolution and civil war, as well as the reflections of modern authors on world terrorism, the relationship between the government and the people.

The exposition consists of eight sections logically connected with each other. In one row, posters created by witnesses and participants in historical events and posters created in memory of these events are displayed. The connection between generations of Russian and Serbian artists is emphasized, the “white spots” of Russian history are filled, historical processes are rethought.

Before arriving in Irkutsk, the project “Banks and Rivers” was presented in three cities of Serbia (Belgrade, Krgujevac, Kraljevo).

The curators of the project will come to the opening of the exhibition - the representative of the Association of Posters, the participant of Russian and international exhibitions Sergey Bulkin (Moscow), as well as the president of the Association of Fine and Decorative Artists of the city of Kraljevo (Serbia) Ivan Milunovich. During their visit, creative meetings and master classes are planned for designers and students of art specialties in Irkutsk.

Before the opening, on May 4, at 15.00, a press conference will be held in the exhibition halls of the gallery, where the project curators will talk about the purpose and significance of the poster genre in society, answer journalists’ questions and conduct a tour.
