On the Day of Remembrance of A. S. Pushkin, the State Museum-Reserve "Ostafyevo" presented the exhibition "Pushkin in Exlibris" from the collection of the Museum of Exlibris and Miniature Books. The exhibition presents 120 exlibrises, the authors of which took part in the International Competition dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the birth of A. S. Pushkin. To create the works, the artists used various graphic printing techniques: engraving on steel and wood, pencil style, mezzotint and open etching.

The name of the great Russian poet has found wide reflection in artistic creativity, including the art of ex-libris. The exhibition features works by graphic artists from 24 regions of Russia, as well as Argentina, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Turkey, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other countries, noted Andrey Loskutov, director of the Ostafyevo Museum-Reserve.
Ex-libris, translated from Latin, means a book sign that indicates the owner of the book and shows its belonging to a particular person. Ex-libris is the same age as the printed book and even a little older.
The ex-librises presented at the exhibition are the works of the finalists of the International Ex-libris Competition dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet A.S. Pushkin. 150 artists took part in the competition, 44 of them foreign graphic artists. The winners were 12 artists from three countries.
The exhibition is complemented by books from the collection of the Ostafyevo Museum-Reserve.
Entrance to the exhibition with a combined museum ticket costs 350 RUR.
