Alisa Andreevna Yufa - painter, graphic artist and book illustrator.
Alisa Yufa graduated from the Novosibirsk Art College in 2007, and in 2014 from the A. Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University (Department of Drawing). Since 2010, participating in exhibitions in Russia and abroad. In 2015, she became a laureate of the Youth Prize of the Government of St. Petersburg and a member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists.
Alisa Yufa is the author of numerous diverse works, she acts as an illustrator of children’s books, stories of Sergei Dovlatov and others. Her works are accurate, full of irony and fiction, created mainly in the style of primitivism. Scenes of everyday life, communal life, gatherings in city cafes, streets, houses - all this becomes "pictures" of Alice Yuf. V. A. Fateev, a well-known artist in Novosibirsk, one of Alice’s mentors, speaks of her like this: “Alice Yufa is that rare case when an artist does not want to earn money through art, but draws, writes just like that,“ for herself ”, - therefore, the work is real, alive! She does not illustrate the material, but tries to "get to the bottom" of the depicted, composed… The grotesque with elements of theatricality, irony - gives the author the opportunity to rise above all the vain, to fool around a bit, fly to lions, kittens, houses… ".
