April 4 at 16.00 in the Estate V.P. Sukachev opens the exhibition of Khaitinsky porcelain "Song of the White Ermine". The exhibition presents the work of Olga Vakhrusheva - designer and artist of the legendary Khaitinsky Porcelain Factory in 1988–2000. Designer porcelain is distinguished by a peculiar manner of painting, a mixture of techniques and non-standard forms. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see more than 70 works that have visited Russian and international exhibitions, as well as exhibits from private collections.
Olga Petrovna Vakhrusheva was born in the village of Michelevka in the Irkutsk Region and, after graduating from high school, worked at the Khaitinsky Porcelain Factory as an artist-designer. From 1984 to 1988 she studied at the Irkutsk College of Arts at the Department of Decorative and Applied Arts. After studying, she returned to the Khaitinsky factory and for 12 years worked as an artist-designer to create new forms and drawings, as well as a master painter in porcelain. Currently, she works as a teacher in painting and a training master in ceramics and porcelain painting at the department "Design, Style, Advertising" at the College of Management and Entrepreneurship in Irkutsk.
"Song of the White Ermine" is not the first exhibition of Khaitinsky porcelain in the Irkutsk Art Museum, which aims to preserve the historical memory of a unique enterprise, which in the past was the real pride of the Irkutsk region.
The opening of the exhibition will be held April 4 at 16.00 in the Estate V.P. Sukacheva (st. December Events, 112). Entrance to the opening is free. The exposition will run until June 3.
