In just a year, the young man learned to work with his left hand and entered the “Moscow Regional Art School of Memory of 1905”, which he successfully completed in 1939. After graduating from the school, he worked as a copyist at the Museum of the Revolution. Nikolai Barchenkov was one of the founders of the Association of Zagorian Artists, now the Union of Artists of Sergiev Posad.
