On November 5, in the Gallery of Siberian Art (Karl Marx St., 23), a personal exhibition of the Irkutsk graphic artist Margarita Marcinechko "Faces of Life", dedicated to the author’s anniversary, begins. The exposition includes more than 70 works created over the past 10 years.
Margarita Marcinechko is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, laureate of the Irkutsk Region Governor’s Prize (2010), artist, teacher, art critic, designer. She has more than a hundred exhibitions on her account: city, regional, all-Russian and international. Her works have been exhibited in Vietnam, Mongolia, Korea, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Tomsk, Irkutsk.
The world of the artist’s works is born in harmony with the surrounding reality with the author’s inner worldview. In the works of Margarita Marcinechko, simplicity and virtuosity of performance are surprisingly combined. The artist analyzes the visible, passing it through the prism of her own concept of beauty and aesthetics, transforms the world, and does not simply display its external forms.
The exhibition "Faces of Life" presents 70 graphic works created during the period from 2010 to 2020. The author presents three large series "Siberia", "Baikal Legends" and "Melody of Light". In her works, Margarita Marcinechko builds an artistic image of Siberia, largely based on local folklore - legends and myths of Lake Baikal, Siberian fairy tales.
The exhibition of Margarita Marcinechko "Faces of Life" will be open at the Gallery of Siberian Art (Karl Marx St., 23) from 5 to 29 November. Due to the difficult epidemiological situation, visiting the museum is possible only by appointment (tel.: 33-43-89). The museum has a mask mode.
