An exhibition of works by the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, People’s Artist of the Chuvash Republic, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Anatoly Petrovich Rybkin "Memory Palette" opens in the halls of the Russian Academy of Arts. The exposition includes more than 60 paintings created by the master in the last decades of his creative activity.
Anatoly Rybkin was born on January 10, 1949 in Chuvashia. In 1979 he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I. E. Repin, where his teachers and leaders of the painting workshop were Professor A. D. Zaitsev, V. V. Sokolov. In 1980 he worked as an artist on the design of the "Olympics - 80", which took place in Moscow. From 1988 to 1991 he studied at the Creative Painting Workshop of the USSR Academy of Arts in Krasnoyarsk under the guidance of the People’s Artist of Russia, Academician A.P. Levitan. A. P. Rybkin himself makes a great contribution to the education of the younger generation. Every year he conducts plein airs with students of the Cheboksary Art School, students of children’s art schools, with young artists in the Samara region, Sevastopol and in many other cities. As part of artistic delegations, the master visited various countries and continents, was a member of scientific expeditions.
Despite numerous travels, most of Rybkin’s work is devoted to the images of his native country. Working with color and composition, Anatoly Petrovich embodies the main places of his inspiration: the picturesque facades of the majestic St. Petersburg, simple Siberian houses of large and small cities. With special love and respect, the artist depicts the villagers. On the canvases of the painter, familiar things - still lifes with objects of rural life or unpretentious, at first glance, village landscapes - are often the result of a deep philosophical generalization of the artist, a kind of microcosm of the life of the Russian hinterland. According to the researcher of his work L. Mitrokhina: “The artist’s living memories, imbued with spiritual vibration, embodied in expressive canvases, acquire a symbolic sound, consonant with the country’s artistic annals ”. These are the works "My good old house" (2017), "Snow on the head" (2014), "Spring has come. Russian Man "(2014) and others.
The symbolism of details in Rybkin’s works is most often revealed and emphasized by an interesting compositional move. The author pays special attention to the mastery of directing the space of the picture, where every pause, every empty section of the canvas is significant. The art critic AI Mordvinova formulated the originality of Rybkin’s work as follows: “A striking feature of the artist is the exit in his works beyond the visible world: people, familiar objects, landscape motifs are collected by his creative imagination together in complex, original compositions, sometimes in an unusual neighborhood. His graphic and pictorial paintings are works of "large form": this is not a story or a poem, but a novel or a symphony. They have an idea, a plot that suggests development is read, and the images have a past and a present. In them - the artist’s reflection on life. And at the same time - high skill, which allows him to carry out complex creative tasks without being hampered by their technical solution. "
Anatoly Petrovich Rybkin has long been fortunate enough to find his niche in the many-sided art space of our time. The exhibition in the halls of the Russian Academy of Arts presents the results of observations, experiences, a huge artistic work of the master.
