On September 19, 2025, to mark the 70th anniversary of artist and architect Leonid Zorin, the Ostafyevo Museum-Reserve will open an exhibition, "The Ostafyevo Ageologium of Leonid Zorin," chronicling his life and creative journey. The exhibition features over 40 works by the artist from various periods, executed in etching and lithography, all rendered in his signature style. The opening will also include a presentation of the artist’s autobiographical book, illustrated by the paintings featured in the exhibition.

"The master’s works reveal beauty in the ordinary, allowing us to see the reality around us in a new way," noted Andrey Loskutov, director of the Ostafyevo – Russian Parnassus Museum-Reserve.
Following the traditions of the Russian classical art school, Leonid Zorin’s work demonstrates genuine mastery and profound knowledge in a wide range of fields: geography, nature, history, architecture, and art history. At the same time, his works are acutely contemporary, free from imitation or borrowing. In the artist’s works, reality is often presented as a boundlessly fantastical world, in which he himself lives and which captivates the viewer.
The album "Ostafevsky Ageologium" is largely biographical; it not only introduces the author’s etchings but also reveals his life story. Having traveled extensively throughout Russia and other countries, the artist is able to convey his impressions in vivid, memorable images, using a wide variety of graphic and painting techniques. During his rich creative life, Leonid Nikolaevich painted over five thousand paintings, illustrated approximately forty-five books, and traveled half the world with his sketchbook.
Since 1993, Leonid Nikolaevich Zorin has lived in Ostafyevo. He has both a home and a studio there. The artist’s works focus on local landscapes: the estate, the house, the ponds, and the people around them. The exhibition features works by the artist from various years, executed in etching and lithography, all interpreted in his own distinctive style.
