For decades, Boris Vasilievich has been creating his unique photo epic dedicated to nature, man and the history of Siberia. The artist’s main theme was the nature of the Baikal region (Baikal, Sayan Mountains, Olkhon, Shumak, Arshan) and old Irkutsk, but he also traveled a lot and created his works in other countries: the USA, France, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, China… Places he visited Boris Vasilyevich, became paintings that transport the viewer to another world. Boris Dmitriev’s photographs help to see the familiar in an unexpected light and affirm nature as a source of special, solemn beauty.
