Citywide program "KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE ?!" Automatic translate
In the festival program of the IV Moscow Urban Forum (CEH "Manege"), the "Exhibition Halls of Moscow" Association will present a "map of new attractions" in school districts in 8 districts of Moscow.
Areas located outside the center of Moscow are not rich in sights, monuments and other "signs of the place." The project participants - a group of teachers (artists and architects) and students of 8 schools in 8 districts of Moscow - in December 2014 will create new Moscow attractions - large sculptural objects.
Work on sculptures is accompanied by informal historical and local history studies, which students conduct together with teachers, artists and parents. The sculpture objects, which will appear as a result, will simultaneously express both regional and “school” identity. Texts written by schoolchildren - “explications”, dedicated to both sculpture and the territory on which it is exhibited, will be posted nearby.
The discussion platform and exhibition under the general title “Do you know where…?!” are included in the festival program of the Moscow Urban Forum, which is open for wide discussion of the main theme of the forum “Drivers for the Development of a Metropolis”.
December 13 12.00 - 15.00
