On December 7, the exhibition “New Arrivals” opens at the Gallery of Siberian Art (Karl Marx St., 23). The exhibition includes more than 60 works of art (paintings, graphics, fine arts), which have been added to the museum’s collection over the past two years.
This year the collection of the Irkutsk Art Museum exceeded the mark of 24 thousand exhibits. A significant part of it consists of art objects donated and purchased by the museum from artists and collectors. Thus, over the past two years alone, the museum’s collection has grown by more than 300 works. The museum regularly holds exhibitions of new acquisitions to show viewers the most interesting and iconic works that have joined its rich collection.
Among the new arrivals of the last two years are works of painting and graphics by Vladimir Anisimov, Vladimir Tetenkin, Vitaly Smagin, Anatoly Purlik, Anatoly Pogrebny, Olga Yausheva, Arkady and Anton Lodyanov, Anastasia Gurova, Alexander Imedeev, Igor Shirshkov, Vladimir Zhemerikin, Sergei Zhgilev and many others. The collection of decorative and applied arts was replenished with items from the Khaitinsky Porcelain Factory, the M. S. Kuznetsov Partnership Factory, the Bogashevsky Art Ceramics Factory, as well as the royal porcelain manufactory Royal Bonn (Germany).
