Especially for those who, due to their busyness, are unable to come to the museum on a typical day, the “Museum Night” is organized when the working day of all museums in the world is extended all night or until late in the evening.

“Museum Night” is an international action, the tradition of its occurrence arose in Western Europe. In the Kaluga region, the first museum that joined it in 2007 was the Kaluga Regional Art Museum. This year, the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts for the ninth time will offer the evening program of the museum to Kaluga residents and guests of the city. In 2015, Museum Night will be held on May 16. It will be held under the sign of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

On this day, all visitors will find a more than eventful program of events that will last until 22.00 and will be held at two addresses at once:

From 12.00 to 22.00 the main exposition and “An exhibition of one painting: I.Z. Pushkarev “Portrait of a Military Doctor”, in the exhibition hall: exhibition “War and Peace. Painting, graphics from the funds of the KIIII ”; in the northern outbuilding - the exhibition-sale "Kaluga art souvenir."

At 14.00; 15.00; 16.00 and 17.00 - we invite you for excursions in the open storage hall of arts and crafts funds.

From 15.00 to 18.00 - adults and children will be able to take part in the quest game "Traveling with Az-art", dedicated to the Year of Literature. The game takes place in the halls of the museum. Winners and participants will receive prizes from the museum.

From 16.00 to 19.00 - visitors to the exhibition "War and Peace" are invited to the quiz "These days will not cease glory."

From 17.00 to 20.00 - everyone will be able to take part in the interactive creative action "Our Salute to Victory!" At the workshops of Glade of Masters, we create together a colorful panel depicting a salute in honor of the Great Victory.

At 17.30-17.45 - in the courtyard of the museum a musical invitation from the ensemble “Gypsy Pearl” (Moscow).

From 12.00 to 22.00 the following exhibitions work: photo exhibition of Archbishop Pesochensky and Yukhnovsky Maximilian “The Heart of Northern Thebaid”; exhibition of Khludnev toys from the funds of the KIIII; exhibition and sale of works by Kaluga artists.
