World stars sang in Moscow dedication to David Bowie Automatic translate
The world premiere of the surreal musical The Trip Show took place in Moscow, produced and authored by Russian musician Yegor Kurdello. The most popular musicians from all over the world gathered on one venue - Morgan Agren, Julie Slick, Roman Miroshnichenko, Igor Zalivalov, Sofia Bridge and the author Yegor Kurdello themselves performed on the stage of the Yotaspace club. One of the main stars of this grandiose project was the performance of the Canadian singer Matt Laurent, the soloist of the golden composition of the musical Notre-Dame de Paris.
More than 3,000 spectators came to watch the performance of famous musicians, laureates of Grammy and IMA, who came to Moscow from all over the world to participate in the musical “The Trip Show”. Spectators of the show plunged into the mysterious, mysterious atmosphere of surrealistic action that took place both on the stage and in the auditorium. While the audience gathered and drank their first cocktails, they were plunged into a trance by the melancholy improvisation on the vibraphone of Innokenty Ivanov, and people in long medieval robes with torches walked around the hall, giving mystery to everything that was happening. The show began with a drive-fatal and at the same time meditatively restrained composition “Ganga”, combining oriental motifs, Spanish guitar and at the same time the atmosphere of psychedelic compositions of early Pink Floyd. Powerful, almost shamanistic, Grammy-award-winning drums of two times Morgan Agren gave out a hard pulse and kept in full tension until the last chords of the composition. The vocals of Matt Laurent were surprisingly restrained, but at the same time - deep, quivering, the whole thing was performed on a nerve, stretched like a string, ready to tear at any moment.
As part of the show, the musicians performed 18 compositions, including the well-known “The Man who sold the World” by David Bowie. Amazed everyone with their crazy charisma, crazy drive, the famous bass player from Adrian Belew Power Trio, CrimsonProjeKCt and Echotest Julie Slick. Rock on violins was demonstrated by Igor Zalivalov and Sophia Bridge, winners of many international competitions and music authors for the show “Scarlet Sails-2016”. In the finale of the show, Matt Laurent himself picked up the guitar and all the participants in the show performed a crazy-drive version of The Beatles’ Come Together, a well-known song, and Matthew Laurent sang along with the entire audience.
The musical part of the show was accompanied by dance and theatrical performances - more than 30 actors and dancers participated in the action. Dancing with apples in her mouth, girls in huge dresses of the 18th century, playing volleyball with the clown’s severed head, a medieval executioner lost in time, almost naked dancers creating strange designs from the bodies, as well as several dozens of ghost characters. In fact, all these images are involved in a landmark video, a mini-tribute movie to David Bowie, which the authors of the show promise to present to the public in May 2017.
“In August, we plan to perform such a stellar cast of the show at several European festivals,” said project author Yegor Kurdello. - In September, the show will go on a short tour of the cities on the Volga. In the second half of autumn, an immersive version of the show will open, where viewers will be immersed in an atmosphere of surrealism on an area of 10 thousand square meters. The largest action will be in Moscow. In parallel, the immersive The Trip Show will open in Barcelona and a little later in Paris. ”
