Exhibition from the funds of the KMII “Dream of Space. The first flight ”, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the first manned flight into space.
The exhibition will showcase works of painting, graphics and sculpture in different genres, revealing the themes of man’s dreams of long-distance flights and space exploration, about K.E.Tsiolkovsky, about Yu.A. Gagarin, about other pilot-cosmonauts, as well as on the theme of cosmism in art in general. All these themes will be presented in the "Road to Space" gift album, the publication of which is timed to this significant event. The album will contain reproductions of works from the museum’s funds, many of which were not included in the exposition.
The exhibition is based on works from the collection of the Kaluga Museum of Fine Arts, but here you can also see a number of works by Kaluga artists who could not stand aside and took an active part in the formation of the exposition.
In addition to all of the above, an exhibition of folk art on the topic of space exploration will be part of the above, within the framework of which master classes of folk craftsmen will be held.
