Today, when technologies in the field of visual culture are developing rapidly and new ones appear almost daily, for me personally photography has become that very pure, almost academic form of fixing moments and emotions, to which technological progress in most cases no longer has any relation, which it cannot neither add more meaning nor influence in general - and the project “Best Photos of Russia” is a vivid confirmation of this. ”

The special theme of the 2016 project is “Engage in Happiness”, created jointly with the project’s friend and official partner for many years - S7 airline. Photographers were asked to capture in their pictures, perhaps the most difficult sensation to formulate. One moment in which the whole life is concentrated, which is very important to catch - and it is very difficult to capture in a photograph.
