The Russian Academy of Arts, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art and the IDEA Public Association present the LIVE LIFE charity exhibition project, which aims to draw attention to environmental issues. In 2016, the project was presented to the public of Berlin, London and Paris. This spring, the exhibition opens in Moscow at the MVK PAX Art Gallery of Zurab Tsereteli.
The exhibition will be based on the works of the founder of the IDEA Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva: her vivid and romantic paintings depicting rare animals and birds in a fabulous, almost folklore manner - a metaphor that makes the viewer feel the fragility and vulnerability of nature.
The exposition will also include the works of nine young Azerbaijani and Russian artists who are not indifferent to environmental problems: Viktor Semenov, Ustina Yakovleva, Ilya Fedotov-Fedorov, Maryam Alakbarli, Ragim Chopurov, Aylal Heydarova, Timur Ozdamirova, Naili Sultan and Fidan Novruzova.
The works of these original authors, so unlike each other, determined the diversity of the exhibition: viewers will see bio-sculptures by Ilya Fedotov-Fedorov, photographs by Viktor Semyonov, ethnic motifs in the paintings of Maryam Alakberli, ornamental ceramics by Naili Sultan, video installations by Timur Ozdamirov made from cotton and eco-sculpture beads by Ustina Yakovleva. Their works are designed not only to draw attention to global environmental issues, but also to declare to the public that art can play an important role in protecting nature.
Within the framework of the Live Life exhibition, a series of original tours will be held. One of the participants - OZ Group - will prepare a digital installation that will allow viewers to "get inside" the works presented at the exhibition.
