Three performances of the Buryat Republican Puppet Theater "Ulger" can be visited on November 3 and 4 at the Moscow Puppet Theater
The performance of the Ulgar Theater will take place as part of the Ulan-Ude Culture Days program in Moscow. Young residents of Moscow will see popular productions of the Puppet Theater from Buryatia, “The Stork and the Scarecrow,” “The Singing Arrow” and “Baikal’s Daughter - Angara”. The last performance was written according to the well-known legend of love “Beauty of the Angara”.
It is known that more than three hundred rivers flow into Lake Baikal, and only one flows out - the beautiful, full-flowing river Angara. A long time ago, the people laid down the legend of how the only, beloved daughter of Lake Baikal, the beautiful Angara, fled from her father to her beloved - the hero Yenisei.
This legend became the basis of a poetic, beautiful performance, in which Irkut, the rival of the Yenisei, small rivers, and such folklore characters as Wind and Sturgeon also participate.
You can learn more about the performances on the official website of the Ulger Puppet Theater http://teatr-ulger.ru/
