June 30 at 16.00 in the Manor of V. P. Sukachev (December Events St., 112) opens the international exhibition-competition "Cultural Heritage in Modern Design", organized jointly with the regional branch of the Union of Designers of Russia and the Irkutsk National Research Technical University. The exposition is dedicated to the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia and aims to develop local design using traditional materials and technologies.

More than two hundred applications were submitted for the competition in seven nominations from beginners and professional designers from Japan, China, Mongolia, Israel, Iran, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, various cities and regions of Russia. The project is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Archives of the Irkutsk Region.

The exhibition presents graphic, environmental, object, jewelry, fashion and art design. The exhibition features works by Irkutsk artists and designers: Natalya Dovnich, Andrey Polyanitsa, Larisa Malkina, Elena Sergeychuk, Lyubov Mozhaeva and other authors, including participants from abroad. The organizers are confident that the exhibition-competition will become a platform for the realization of creative abilities, the exchange of experience, and the expansion of professional and creative ties. For this, within the framework of the project, a design session “Russian Design: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow” will be held at the IRNITU site by the team of the Moscow Design Museum with the participation of experts from the capital.

Within the framework of the project, the exhibition “Jewelry Debut-2022” will also be held at the site of the Estate of V.P. Sukachev, in the exposition of which you can see the jewelry of students and graduates of the Department of Jewelry Design and Technology of IRNITU.
