It was he who managed to raise the work of the department to the proper creative level. He managed to find irreplaceable professionals for this department, to organize training and working process. Alexey Shtanko, Vladimir Agafonov, Lyudmila Nazarova, Svetlana Tavolzhanskaya played a significant role in mastering the technology of ceramic production. Since 1990, the leading teacher is Lyudmila Nikolaevna Nazarova, a graduate of the Irkutsk Art School and Sverdlovsk State University, director of the college.
Over 55 years of existence, about 400 students graduated from the ceramic department. Many of them continued their education in higher art schools in Moscow, Leningrad, Krasnoyarsk, and became highly qualified specialists. The Irkutsk Art School is proud of its graduates, among whom there are many famous masters who shape the artistic life of Irkutsk: George Borisov, Andrei Polyanitsa, Svetlana Uvarova and others.
