Results of the Siberian Legal Week Automatic translate

On November 10, the third Siberian Legal Week - SibLegalWeek-2017 - completed its work. The forum with numerous activities was held in the city of Novosibirsk with the support of the local mayor’s office, the Government of the Novosibirsk region, as well as the Russian Bar Association.

Denis Novak, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation, spoke at the opening of the forum and, among other things, presented to all participants the draft Concept for regulating the professional legal aid market. This document, according to the Deputy Minister, is of great importance for the entire industry and its participants, since it will allow regulating the work of legal aid specialists, that part of the professional community that today does not have clear control and rules of action.

In general, the entire event in 2017 was devoted to the topic “Dialogue between government and business: obstacles and opportunities”, and it was precisely the consolidation of government and business representatives that became the goal of the third SibLegalWeek-2017 forum. In total, more than a thousand participants gathered within the walls of SibLegalWeek-2017 and discussed the current perspectives of the legal industry, its tasks and aspirations for the coming years, as well as the future of jurisprudence and legal regulation in Russia. In addition to the traditional discussions, round tables and discussions that took place at SibLegalWeek-2017, the organizers started the forum with the future of the legal industry — students of law schools. They were able to take part in student fights, where real trials are recreated. The task of the participants is to speak most convincingly and give the best arguments. The performances of the younger generation are evaluated by the luminaries of the profession: judges, lawyers, lawyers. Among the members of the qualifying rounds and final student fights are such well-known professionals as the managing partner of the Vetrov and Partners law firm Vitaly Vetrov, international law lawyer Artem Dymskoy, judge of the Arbitration Court of the Novosibirsk Region Marina Brodskaya and others.

The great success of SibLegalWeek-2017 and all previous events should be noted. Every year the number of participants grows, foreign colleagues join them. The organizers promise that they will not lower the bar and that next year they will definitely repeat and increase the success of the forum, because the legal industry does not stand still and is constantly developing, growing and growing new strong specialists.
