During the celebration of the 355th anniversary of the foundation of Irkutsk, June 4-5, 2016, in the “V. Bronstein Gallery” residents and visitors of the city will be able to visit the new exhibition of painting “Irkutsk. Streets. Persons ”, and other existing exhibitions - at discounted tickets.
Within the framework of the thematic exhibition dedicated to the anniversary, about 30 paintings by artists of the Angara region are presented. Most authors are recognized masters: Vitaly Smagin, Vladimir Tetenkin, Evtikhiy Konev, Nikolai Vershinin, Anatoly Kostovsky, Vladimir Kuzmin and others. Despite the differences in the style and manner of painting, the authors are united by a special attitude to the native city and the people who create its history. Among the paintings presented are portraits of Siberian writers and poets, rare self-portraits of artists, lyrical landscapes of Baikal nature and, of course, work with views of Irkutsk.
In addition, on holidays (June 4-5, 2016), visitors of the “V. Bronstein Gallery” have a special price for adult entrance tickets. You can visit all existing exhibitions for only 150 rubles (on other days for this price you can see only one of the current exhibitions). The price of children’s and discount tickets remains the same - 50 rubles.
Recall now in the framework of the project “Message of the Light” lithographs by Marc Chagall are presented in the gallery. The exhibition is dedicated to the late period of the great artist, when he turned to the technique of lithography. The exhibition contains about 50 works, including one of the most significant graphic series - illustrations for the Bible. And on an ongoing basis, the gallery has an exposition with monumental works and small plastic art by a recognized Buryat master Dasha Namdakov. The sculptures Victoria and Bird and Tiger are exhibited for the first time in Russia. The exhibition also includes author’s dolls created by the master’s family based on his sketches.
