Igor Grigorievich Snegur was born in 1935 in Moscow. By the age of sixteen, he decided on a future profession, and seriously took up painting. He has been actively involved in the art process since the late 1950s - he participated in the famous exhibition of the 30th anniversary of MOSH in “MANEZH” in 1962, defeated by N. Khrushchev, in exhibitions of abstract artists of the Moscow studio Eli Belyutin. At the same time he studied at the Faculty of Graphics of the Moscow Polygraphic Institute in 1960-1964. In 1975, Snegur’s works were presented at the famous avant-garde vernissage in the Beekeeping pavilion at VDNKh, and in the late 70s Igor Snegur organized the famous art group 20 Moscow Artists, whose annual exhibitions were held at Malaya Gruzinskaya in 1978-1988.

Snegur’s creative activity from the very beginning was multifaceted: the artist worked in films and in the theater, was engaged in book graphics and a poster. In 1988, I.
