The exhibition is a benefit of the collector and founder of the ART4 museum Igor Markin, the result of 25 years of “creative activity”. A personal view of the collector on the history of our contemporary art. The exhibition includes works from the 50s of the last century, to the young artists of modern Russia. The project shows the best works of this period.

Having started collecting in the late 90s, already in 2007 Igor Markin founded the first Museum of Modern Art in Russia, being a pioneer of collecting in this area. Over the 12 years of its existence, the format of the museum has changed, as has its collection. Now in ART4 there is no permanent exhibition, at the same time there are regular exhibitions of contemporary artists and auctions. Today, the collection is 200 names of Russian artists, including Ilya Kabakov, Eric Bulatov, Oleg Vasiliev, Vladimir Weisberg, Dmitry Krasnopevtsev, Mikhail Roginsky, Timur Novikov.

The “Ideal Collection” is exhibited in all five rooms of the Museum, uniting the authors in one space and time, without observing the chronological sequence. Big names and colorful works represent Russian art in all its diversity, but no less represent collector Igor Markin himself.
