Le Chan du Monde is currently the oldest of France’s existing publishing houses. This year he turns eighty years old. It was founded in 1938 by the critic and writer Leon Mussinak, a man of left-wing beliefs, and since then the fame of the red publishing house has strengthened behind Le Chan du Mond. However, the publisher had few politicized products (such as "songs of protest," etc.). It is much more important that they became the conductors of music of the composers of the USSR (Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Khachaturian) in France and in many cases around the world. Moreover, Le Chan du Mond published not only authors officially recognized in the USSR - Edison Denisov and Alexander Mosolov were in his catalog… The ideas of communism, as you know, did not win. But at first, a small independent publishing house survived in all wars, commercial and political, and still publishes new French and Russian music, regardless of whether it’s “right” or “lion!” author. In this concert you will hear both well-known authors and little-known in Russia (among them Daniel d’Adamo, Louis Rizo-Salom, Ramon Lazcano - and meanwhile, these are stars of the first magnitude of the publishing house catalog!), As well as Soviet composers Knipper and Shebalina, very rarely appearing in the programs of our concerts.
