On September 29, 2016, in the halls of the National Museum of the Ust-Orda Buryat Autonomous Okrug (Ust-Ordynsky settlement), the thematic exposition “Soul of Asia” was opened, where viewers can see paintings and small bronze plastic from the collection of “V. Bronstein Gallery” (g. Irkutsk).

The presented exposition, which is part of the large exhibition project “Soul of Asia”, which was in effect in the summer of 2015 in the Victor Bronstein Gallery, was already seen by the residents of Buryatia during the XII international festival “Altargana-2016”.

The exposition can be considered a reflection of the cultural picture of the world of the indigenous peoples of Siberia in the visual arts. Indeed, the region for many centuries has been a kind of "bridge" between the West and the East, which largely determined the originality of its artistic culture. The exhibition shows paintings and sculptures by masters of Buryatia and the Irkutsk region. The unique works of artists of different generations, genres and styles demonstrate their historical and cultural unity and diversity of creativity.

The art of bronze casting and artistic work with metal is represented by the works of such talented artists as Geser Zodboyev and Dmitry Budazhabe.

Painting art is represented by truly recognized masters - People’s Artist of Russia Vitaly Smagin, People’s Artist of Russia Vitaly Rogal, People’s Artist of the Republic of Buryatia Balzhinima Dorzhiev. The works of artists Sergei Pisarev and Svetlana Andreeva will demonstrate the creativity of young authors in the region.

Thematic exposition “The Soul of Asia” will be in effect at the National Museum of the Ust-Orda Buryat Autonomous Okrug (Ust-Ordynsky, Lenina St., 6) until October 13, 2016 during the opening hours of the cultural institution. Admission is free for all categories of citizens.
