A young Moscow artist is graduating this year from the Moscow State Academic Art Institute. Surikov and presents his paintings and drawings at the Artmuse. Asya Motina’s project has the charm of everyday life and a call to creation.
An important part of the exposition includes quoting or homage to the works of other artists or entire cultural eras. In the process of studying the material, and then the work itself, a certain dialogue is formed with the time that the artist has chosen. It turns into a thin thread that connects the past and present space, correlated with a person. It can be both a serious conversation and an ironic friendly conversation.
To create each work presented in the exposition, Asya was prompted by a vivid natural impression, or rather, everyday life, which for a moment became a unique event for a particular space and a person in it. Asya Motina was born in Moscow in 1998, by now her works are already in Russian and foreign private collections. Being from a family of artists, she went through her own creative path through the Moscow Central Art School and the Art Institute, studied in the workshops of Remnev A.V., Voronova K.A. and chose the monumental workshop of E.N. Maksimov. The project "Spaces for Life" is being prepared by Marina Gurevich, curator of the Artmuza Museum.
