Anna Kozhina. A month in the village Automatic translate
From October 24 to November 10 in the Exhibition Hall "On Kashirka" will be a personal exhibition of the artist from St. Petersburg Anna Kozhina.
The exhibition will feature both graphic and pictorial works made at the summer open-air in the vicinity of St. Petersburg.
Summer lake, field, flowers, boats, flower and fruit still lifes are written in several brush strokes. It is such a watercolor technique that turns simple stories into magical, iridescent paintings.
In the watercolors of Anna Kozhina, the “two elements” interact - water and air. They become co-authors of each work of the author. In a la prima watercolors, the drying speed of water-based paint on paper depends on air humidity — the slower it dries, the more the paint stains “blur”, creating various interesting effects. The artist’s talent is to capture the only moment of harmony between water and paint, because to paint with water means to try to control the elements, and this is always a gamble and unpredictable game.
October 24 at 18.00 we invite to the opening of the exhibition. Free admission.
