The AFTERPARTY exhibition at the EXPOSED art center is one big story woven from individual picture elements. Each picture is the next chapter of the rave story of the same name. The painting presented at the exhibition is at the same time minimalistic and full of interesting details, simple and at the same time filled with a complex combination of emotions, thoughts and feelings, plays with the color and emptiness of the canvas.
The exposition of the exhibition includes both a completely new series of large paintings created in 2015-2016, as well as a selection of earlier works from different series.
In addition, the exhibition includes the installation of BarBottle, created in 2014 and is an independent object with its own story, telling about the cozy world of all kinds of cocktails, wines, coffee. “A world that has developed into one large orchestra, where the main conductor of all the action is His Majesty the bartender” (Pavel Shappo).
“AFTERPARTY is a series of paintings that makes you feel and reveal that fine line between a holiday and… a holiday. Rather, it is an epilogue in paints. The time when a person feels that the party is dying away, but the magic and spell of the night are still somewhere in the air. You still feel light, and everything is so subtle around. But soon the magic breaks up… ”- Pavel Shappo tells about the exhibition.
