The canvas came into the view of experts at the Sotheby’s auction house, who determined its authorship. According to the owner, the painting was donated to him in 1978 by one of the clients, in gratitude for the good work, while he did not suspect that he became the owner of a genuine Picasso - all these years the painting was simply gathering dust in his house without due attention to it.

Currently, the picture is taken to verify the truth of all circumstances. A technical examination found that the canvas was mentioned in the Zervos catalog for 1961.
