In fact, the authors of the work managed to observe the Romanesque style of the picture, with a static, two-dimensional image of St. Eulalia, the Virgin and baby Jesus. Before young graffiti artists set about painting, they, at the insistence of the priest, visited the museums of Barcelona to study the characteristics of the Romanesque style. “And they went and studied, even read several books,” says father Ramon.

One of the two graffiteros, Raul Sanchez, admitted that when Father Borr hired him, he was surprised and delighted, but at the same time he was very excited about the work ahead.

“Only a professional artist will determine that we used spray paints to do the job,” he said in an interview. “We tried to hide it, because in the Roman period, obviously, such colors did not exist.”

To write one of the women surrounding the Virgin and Jesus, the artist used the image of his grandmother. Now, according to him, she miraculously recovered from a serious illness from which she had suffered since 1950.

Father Borr noted that Pope Benedict XVI once stated that art should attract believers to temples. And the unusual painting of the dome of the church is already famous among the locals who have shown very benevolent interest in it.
