The performance “Wedding” combined excerpts from several plays written by different authors and texts of classical prose works into a single composition.

The director talks about the theme of the wedding, used by many playwrights, as an opportunity to show a person at a time when his life turns from private to public. During the wedding, conflicts often arise, facts that were previously secret come to light. Turning to the topic of the wedding makes it possible to reflect on the relationships of people starting a new life.

The composition based on the works of famous authors was written by Egor Peregudov himself. Maria Tregubova, a theater artist who worked with the director for the second time, participated in the work on the play. Last season, Sovremennik hosted the premiere of the play Late Love. This was also their joint production.

Representatives of various acting generations of the theater are involved in the play, each of whom made a special contribution to the creation of the play. An interesting duet was a couple consisting of Alyona Babenko and Yevgeny Pavlov. Each of them creates four images of completely different types in the performance, which has become a difficult task for the actors. However, they coped with all the difficulties.

In March, the performance “Wedding” will be shown to the audience three more times.
