- The film is the result of cooperation between directors from the USA, Serbia, Germany, Turkey, England, Canada, Russia, France. At first, our colleagues were wary of the idea of ​​creating a film, but we convinced them that such films are needed today. The almanac consists of short stories, where each country tells about its perception of the events of the First World War. They all agree on one thing: war should not be repeated under any circumstances. The film will be shown in Russia and abroad, including in the framework of various film festivals, - said Igor Ugolnikov.

The film was shot with the support of the Federal Fund for Social and Economic Support of Russian Cinematography, the Russian Military-Historical Society and the Russian Youth Union. The Moscow premiere of the movie almanac “WW1” will take place on May 18, 2016 at the Cosmos cinema.
