"Alice in Wonderland" presented on the stage of the Ryazan Drama Theater Automatic translate

It was the production of the famous "Alice in Wonderland", presented to the public on December 20. Revived the heroes of a fairy tale written by Lewis Carroll, Karen Nersisyan, who recently became the main director of the Ryazan drama.

It is clear that all the characters invented by Carroll, it is impossible to show in a play that has gone into one action. And the director did not set himself such a goal. Of the forty characters who found a place in the writer’s book, only the images most known to readers appear on the scene.

You must admit that it is impossible to imagine Alice’s journey through Wonderland without the White Rabbit, the Hatter, the Caterpillar and the Red Queen, and the Cheshire Cat, whose smile hovers above the stage, gives the performance a special charm. Each of the characters has its own character, the main features of which were shown exactly by the performers of their roles, and the costumes, invented by the theater artist Tatyana Vidanova, help the artists in their game.

The scenery of Victor Shilkrot should be discussed separately. Without them, such a wonderful performance would not have happened. Little spectators enthusiastically watched the sea turn salty tears into a green forest, and then it became the home of the duchess.

The longer Alice’s journey through the magical world of a fairy tale filled with absurdity lasts, the more it becomes clear how difficult it was for Karen Nersisyan to transfer the fantasies born of Carroll to the stage of the theater.

Although the plot of the fairy tale is not at all connected with the New Year, however, the magic with which it is filled fits perfectly into the series of days of the New Year holidays. Before each performance, a meeting of small theater-goers with Santa Claus will take place.
