Theater "Et Cetera" showed the premiere of the play "All About Women" - the debut of director Victoria Pechernikova Automatic translate
MOSCOW. On October 27, the premiere of the play “All About Women”, staged by GITIS graduate Victoria Pechernikova, was successfully held in the Efrosovsky Hall of the Metropolitan Theater “Et Cetera”. The play was based on the play of the same name, written by the Croatian playwright Miro Gavran. This performance was the debut of the young director on the stage of "Et Cetera".
The opportunity to work in such a famous theater was obtained by Victoria Pechernikova thanks to her excellent studies at GITIS. She was recognized as the best student of the directing department. Together with this title, Victoria was the first student to receive another award - a scholarship to them. Efros founded by the theater "Et Cetera". This scholarship gave the young director the right to stage the play in the Efrosovsky Hall.
The right to choose a play was granted to Pechernikova herself. The only wish expressed by the theater management is that the play should be a comedy. It turned out that choosing a comedy play is not easy.
Victoria said that she read 70 plays before settling on the work of Miro Gavran. The director also did not like the play, but she decided to take up her production. Before starting work on the play, the author’s text was significantly rewritten, new heroines appeared in the play.
The play does not have a single plot, each of its heroines has its own fate, its own female story. Individual stories - sometimes a little absurd, slightly eccentric, filled with sadness, narrated with noticeable irony, add up to the whole picture. Like the characters of the play, the actresses of the Et Cetera theater participating in the play “All About Women, belong to different generations.” It is impossible to find out everything about women, but it is possible that after watching the performance, part of the female soul will be revealed to the audience.
