One day of young Chekhov, surrounded by brothers, friends, potential brides, made it possible to understand a little better the origins of his irony, implicated in hopeless responsibility for the impassable relatives and the harshness in which salvation was. The textbook image of a glorious man in pince-nez is gradually replacing the features of a living, contradictory and very gifted person. The script is based on real events from the life of the writer, his letters to relatives, some works.

Almost for the first time on the screen appears Dunya Efros - the failed wife of young Chekhov, who survived him for 40 years and died in Treblinka. Relationships with brothers who prefer to exchange their unconditional talents for drunk idleness and the consumption of the life of a brilliant brother become a line of end-to-end action.

Ugarov managed to assemble a very worthy team in the film. Produced by Alexander Mindadze, cameraman Alisher Hamidkhodzhaev, in the filmography of which you can find “Anton is nearby” and “Paper Soldier” by German and “Live” by Sigarev, starring Egor Koreshkov, Artyom Grigoryev, Yana Irtenyeva, Alexander Molochnikov.

The rental history of the picture is not yet very eventful. The absence of spider-people, transformers and ghosts in it does not add to the chances of a victorious march through cities and villages, which in no way affects its quality.
