At the end of last week, on the stage of the Blagoveshchensk RCC, an entreprise group of Moscow artists presented theatricals of the city with a performance dedicated to Faina Ranevskaya. “A bird hovering in a cage” was the name of the great actress, who left us 30 years ago, the creators of the play.

This performance appeared thanks to producer Stella Samokhotova, who wrote the play together with playwright Sofia Lezhneva. He was embodied on the stage of the House of Writers by director Stanislav Evstigneev. Stella Samokhotova for a long time picked up the performer of the main role. Many of the actresses were afraid not to cope with the embodiment on stage of such a complex image.

Not immediately, she received consent from Svetlana Korkoshko, whom the theater-goers of Blagoveshchensk saw on stage. Most of all, the audience was surprised by the striking external similarity of the performer with Ranevskaya, who was well remembered by everyone for her roles in the movies.

However, the external image of her heroine Svetlana Korkoshko created using just a wig and very little makeup. The actress believes that the main merit belongs to Ranevskaya herself. Everyone knows how much Ranevskaya’s speech was full of sharp words, and the performance could not do without them. However, it was obvious that it was impossible to replace these expressions.
