The head of the Youth Theater Mikhail Skomorokhov, who has been heading the theater for almost three decades, decided to show the audience a new stage reading of the famous novel “Lord Golovlyov”. The author of the staging of the novel was the Ural playwright Yaroslav Pulinovich, whose works are well known to the Russian public. The premiere performance took place on November 16th.

Creating her dramatization, the playwright approached the work from a completely different perspective than was previously accepted. The commonwealth of two masters - Mikhail Skomorokhov and Yaroslav Pulinovich, made it possible for viewers to get acquainted with the story of each member of the family leaving this world. In their reading of the novel, the creators of the play tried to embody the writer’s opinion about the characters of the work he wrote, the plot of which frightens with its frankness. This statement was made possible thanks to the receipt by the Youth Theater of the grant from the Russian president.

The presidential grant, designed to support creative projects of national importance, was a wonderful gift per year, an anniversary for the Perm Youth Theater. This year the theater celebrates its fiftieth anniversary. Today in the Perm Perm Youth Theater there are 30 titles of the play, representing the works of modern authors and classical works. Constantly participating in prestigious festivals, he deserves to be one of the leading Russian theaters for young people.
