MOSCOW. The continuation of a series of experiments in the Moscow Provincial Theater was the play "Endless April", staged by director Anna Gorushkina. The premiere of the performance was presented to the public on November 29th. The basis of “Endless April” was a play written by Yaroslav Pulinovich, whose works are in demand by directors. Performances based on the plays of the young playwright are now available in the repertoire of most theaters in the country.

Most often, Pulinovich in his works addresses the fate of the young generation. This time the playwright created a play where the hero was a man born at the beginning of the century. His prototype was a real person for whom Petersburg was his hometown, and his recordings made on tape on the days of anniversaries became materials for reconstructing the life story of the protagonist of the play.

Anna Gorushkina created the play in an unusual format, bringing the audience as close as possible to the characters of the production. Spectators and artists are on the stage, where the room in the St. Petersburg communal apartment is recreated with absolute accuracy. Here lives the life of the Petersburg intellectual Venechka, whose role brilliantly performed by Andrei Ilyin. The role of his mother was a return to the stage of Irina Bezrukova, who had not played on the theater stage for 15 years. Andrei Ilyin displays the age of his hero only as an actor, without using makeup.

The play "Endless April" in an hour and a half was able, through the life story of the protagonist, who passed away in 2010, the main events that took place in the country. The director of the play believes that the viewer who saw this dramatic story can find moments in it that affect his life, because it shows the events that took place in several generations of an ordinary family from St. Petersburg.
