Two premieres in one evening took place in theaters of Petrozavodsk Automatic translate
PETROZAVODSK. In the evening of May 13, the theater-goers of the city had to choose between the premiere performances, which simultaneously took place on two stages. The National Theater of Karelia presented the work of the Lithuanian director Linas Zaykauskas created in a duet with his countrywoman, artist Margarita Misyukova.
The play "Olga" was staged based on a play by the modern Finnish playwright Laura Ruokonen, written in 1995. This play, describing the difficult relationships of people whose lives are riddled with loneliness, has become an event in European drama since its inception. She instantly aroused the interest of directors and adorned the repertoire of many theaters.
Her characters lived a difficult life. Olga, already a very elderly woman, throughout her life, the people around her used to their advantage. Acquaintance with a young man named Rundis could also end in a similar way. Having managed to see a lot, to be disappointed in many ways, Rundis planned to use the relationship with a single woman for his own benefit.
However, Olga’s character, in which there is no place for habitual conventions, amazes Rundis so much that unexpectedly for himself, his attitude to his life principles is radically changing. The touching story of two lonely people, their strange and sad love, unfolds before the audience. The performance is in Finnish, but it is possible to use simultaneous translation.
The second premiere was the work of young actors, graduates of the Petrozavodsk Conservatory. On the stage of the puppet theater, they presented the audience their diploma work - the performance "Orchestra". This production, filled with music, tells about musicians from a female orchestra working in a French cabaret.
