During the 10 days of the work of the creative laboratory, organized thanks to the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Presidential grant received by the Ryazan Youth Theater, active creative work took place. Her goal was to determine the interests of the young generation, and to clarify its requirements for modern theater.

The laboratory worked under the name that ideally defined its direction - "Young playwrights - for young viewers." Participants in the experiment, held on the basis of the Ryazan Youth Theater - Cathedral Theater, were playwrights and directors working not only in Ryazan, but also from Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, and Moscow.

The work of the laboratory took place in several stages, one of which was a thematic camp, created at the Meschera camp site. For several days there were discussions of topical youth problems and read new plays. The project participants were not only representatives of the theater world, but also teenagers from Ryazan and the region.

The next stage of the laboratory was work in the premises of the Theater on Cathedral, where playwrights with the help of actors and directors created performances based on their plays. The results of the laboratory were summarized by showing performances on the plays of young playwrights and discussions held in the form of a "round table" after watching them.

The greatest impression was made by the joint work of the St. Petersburg director Zhanar Kusainova and the director Rustam Shakhgireyev, who came from Grozny. The performance “Bird in Your Pocket”, created by them, dedicated to the difficulties of life of modern adolescents, affected everyone who managed to see him.

The performance is addressed not only to adolescents growing up, because he says that love can help you endure any difficulties, even if it seems that living on is pointless.
