In the Sverdlovsk drama presented the premiere of the play by Tsvetaeva "Phoenix" Automatic translate
YEKATERINBURG. The Sverdlovsk Drama Theater made a wonderful gift to the audience for the spring holiday, presenting the premiere of the play "Last Night of Casanova", staged on the play "Phoenix", written by Marina Tsvetaeva in 1919.
The poetess planned to include her in the collection of Romance. Under this name, Tsvetaeva wanted to collect all her dramatic works. Since the work of Marina Tsvetaeva in Russia was prohibited for many years, this play appeared on the scene only 60 years after its creation - in 1979.
It was a one-man show, authored by actress and director Nina Kosenkova. The performance took place on the stage of the Moscow Regional Drama Theater. In 2003, the director Yuri Lyubimov used a fragment of the play when staging the play “Before and After” in the Taganka Theater.
As the director of the theater Alexei Badayev noted, now the Tsvetaevo play has become in demand in many Russian theaters. The artists of the Sverdlovsk drama hope that their stage reading of the play, which rightfully belongs to the best lyrical dramas of the twentieth century, will become an event in the theater world.
The director of the play, telling about the relationship between Giacomo Casanova and the young girl Francisco, was directed by Alexander Blinov, and the artist Vladimir Kravtsev worked on the sets and costumes. In a fascinating performance, full of mysticism, the audience met with Valentin Voronin, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, who created the image of the legendary lover.
This wonderful artist with his stage works won the hearts of several generations of Yekaterinburg spectators. Valery Velichko and Igor Kravchenko, Honored Artists of the Russian Federation, also take part in the play. For the first time, beginners will appear on the professional stage - students of YSTI.
