Over the years of acting, Nikolai Evgenievich created many images of heroes of classical and modern plays on the stage of the Rostov Theater. He was Chekhov’s Lopakhin and Makar Nagulnov from Raised Virgin Soil, Salieri and Boris Godunov. He was recognized by spectators on the streets of Rostov.
Since 1996, Nikolai Sorokin becomes the artistic director of the theater, which became his family, ten years later he takes the position of its director.
During this time, for four years he combined the work of the theater director with work in Moscow, in the State Duma, and since 2004, with the teaching work in the Rostov branch of the University of Arts of St. Petersburg. This amazingly talented person passed away too soon, but managed to do so much in it that one can only envy kindly.
