MOSCOW. On the 3rd of October, on the new stage of the Nikitsky Gate Theater, the premiere of one of the most famous plays of world drama took place. Mark Rozovsky introduced his new creation - Hamlet. This production cannot be compared with performances staged by other directors, as this is a completely new interpretation of the great Shakespeare’s play.

Appeal to Shakespeare for theater actors was a special event. For the thirty years of the theater’s existence, the Shakespearean play is played only for the second time. About his reading of the great play, Mark Rozovsky thought about ten years ago. There is no director who has not dreamed of staging Hamlet, only few manage to realize his dream.

The director hatched his idea of ​​the production for a long time, but now a unique version of “Hamlet” has appeared on the stage of the theater - it can be called a “performance in a play”. The theater team appeared in front of the audience on stage, playing a troupe preparing the production of Hamlet. The Danish prince is also the director of the production.

Rozovsky does not depart from the Shakespearean text, but it sounds unusual for many viewers. The fact is that the play was based on three translations at the same time - the well-known texts of Lozinsky and Pasternak, as well as Radlova’s translation, less known to ordinary viewers.

The play does not hint at the pressing problems of our time. The director’s task was to enable viewers to reflect on the meaning of the famous Shakespearean tragedy. Almost the entire troupe of the theater is engaged in the play. Play "Hamlet" will be several cast members. At the same time, there is no separation of actors into the first and second composition, they are just different. The role of Hamlet will also be played in turn by two actors - Maxim Zausalin and Valery Tolkov.
