Casting of actors claiming to participate in the production took place in the theater at the end of May, and now a production group consisting of twelve people arrived in Petersburg with the director, whose work consists in the design of the performance - the preparation of costumes. scenery, light and even the design of wigs.

Carline always takes his work extremely seriously. The director personally directed the selection of actors for the musical. The casting took place in a multi-stage form, the goal of such a careful selection was Carline’s desire to choose actors who could convey the spirit of a Broadway production on stage.

The casting resulted in a proposal to recreate on the stage the image of the legendary actor Charlie Chaplin to two Moscow artists at once - Yevgeny Zaitsev and Astemir Apanasov. According to the director, the choice was not easy - the casting took place for three days, and the choice for the role of Chaplin Evgeny Zaitsev was not accidental. It was in him that Carline saw an actor capable of playing a complex role in which Chaplin’s life events from childhood to old age, from poverty to world fame are reproduced.

In addition to the life line of the great actor in the musical, viewers will see how the famous "dream factory" was founded. The director of the words and music of the production is the director himself, and the musical libretto was created in collaboration with Thomas Mean, the creator of famous musicals.

The premiere of the musical "Chaplin" is scheduled for September 13th.
