This opportunity came about because three theater festivals were held almost simultaneously in Omsk. Only in the festival “Visiting Arlekino” took part theaters that came to Omsk from 13 countries. Spectators especially noted the work of the collective from India, where unique dancing dolls were used in the performance, made by masters representing the dynasty, in which for 20 generations they have been engaged in this unique creation.

Irkutsk actors presented the audience a performance in which they successfully combined various theatrical genres - from drama to parody, and in the performance of Canadian masters, the actors breathed life into teapots, forks and other dishes, deploying real military operations on an ordinary table.

The festival "Young Theaters of Russia", which was held for the ninth time, made it possible for viewers to see emotional performances, to be surprised at the original reading by young groups of very famous plays. The jury awarded the main prize to two theaters at once - the Fifth Theater from Omsk for the play Zoykina Apartment, as well as the Sneakers directed by Etude Theater from St. Petersburg.

In the festival program, which presented the best performances of the Golden Mask, Omsk theaters were able to see productions of the country’s most popular theaters.
