Close writers note that in recent years, Mikhail Glebovich was often and seriously ill, he had a protracted depression. He stopped writing, saying that "my reader is dead, I have no one to write." If there had been no depression, he would have lived, ”said Nelly Ratkevich, the widow of the writer. Mikhail Uspensky died on December 13 at the age of 64.
