The jury of the International Literary Russian Prize is formed Automatic translate
MOSCOW. The organizers of the Russian Literature International Literary Contest, which celebrates the outstanding works of writers published in Russian abroad, announced the composition of this year’s jury.
The aim of the International Literary Competition, established in 2005, is to support Russian-speaking writers of the world, as well as the preservation and development of the Russian language as a unique phenomenon of world culture. The winner of the last season of the Russian Prize in the Poetry nomination was the author Andrei Polyakov (Simferopol), in the Small Prose category the winner was Ilya Odegov (Alma-Ata), and the writer Alexander Filipenko (Minsk) won the prize in the Major Prose nomination ". A special prize was awarded to the French writer, historian, translator and Slavist Georges Niva.
“As members of the jury, the writers German Sadulaev (Russia) and Elena Skulskaya (Estonia), the literary critic and translator Boris Kuzminsky (Russia), the poet, the editor-in-chief of the SHO magazine, Alexander Kabanov (Ukraine) will continue their cooperation with the competition,” reports press service. The organizing committee also said that this season the judges will be replenished with two laureates of the “Russian Prize” of previous years - the translator of European and Turkic poetry, poet Vyacheslav Shapovalov (Kyrgyzstan) and the editor-in-chief of the Danish magazine “New Coast” Andrei Nazarov. Another new member of the jury was the editor-in-chief of the magazine "Friendship of Peoples", writer Alexander Ebanoidze (Russia).
The authors will be accepted to participate in the competition until November 30 of this year. The winners of the tenth season of the “Russian Prize” will be announced in April 2015 in Moscow. Laureates in the main nomination will receive a cash prize of 150 thousand rubles, for second and third places - 60 and 45 thousand rubles. The prize for the owner of the special prize will be 45 thousand rubles.
For the entire period of the existence of the Russian Prize contest, the winners were 73 poets and writers from 20 countries of the world. Among them are Dina Rubina, Bakhyt Kenzheev, Boris Khersonsky, Natalia Gorbanevskaya, Anastasia Afanasyeva, Marina Paley, Margarita Meklina, Mariam Petrosyan, Vladimir Lorchenkov and others.
